Farmer’s Daughter Burger Ride
Time & Location
About the Event
There is a butcher shop in Capon Bridge, West Virginia that has started making fresh burgers from their cuts of beef. The Washington Post says they are the best burgers around. Want to find out? Not only do we have the lure of a great burger, but Capon Bridge is in the heart of some crazy West Virginia back roads that are a motorcyclist’s dream come true. This is going to be along ride, we’ll take about 2.5 hours on mostly back, winding roads to get to the burger place. After eating, we will head back a little more direct, but it should still be a 2 hour ride home. So this is a long ride with a burger break in between. Many of the roads we will travel on do not have a center line and are narrow at some points. The area is hilly and the roads twist and turn. However, the scenery and the ride is exhilarating and worth it. Let’s hope the burger is good, too.
We will start in Germantown at the Applebee’s parking lot.
About 220 miles with 2 stops planned (one for food, one for gas).
Due to a rider down on the 6th, we never made it to the burger place. We’re going to try again!
